1Signed Zoning Checklist is REQUIRED with every permit application — applications are rejected without it. This is a SUNRISE-SPECIFIC requirement not found in other Broward cities.

2Demos, additions, alterations, and new construction must be approved by BROWARD COUNTY ePERMITS FIRST, THEN submitted to Sunrise Community Development for exterior changes, THEN to Building Division. Three-step routing.

3Contractor registrations expire SEPTEMBER 30TH every year — NOT on the anniversary of registration. Must re-register before Oct 1 or cannot pull permits.

4Insurance certificate holder must read EXACTLY 'City of Sunrise, 10770 W. Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise, FL 33351' — any variation (wrong street format, missing city name) will delay registration.

5Qualifier's government-issued photo ID is required for contractor registration — most cities don't require this. Missing ID = registration rejected.

6Contractor Registration form must be NOTARIZED by the qualifying agent — unsigned or un-notarized forms rejected.

7Owner Builder Affidavit MUST be signed IN PERSON at the Building Division and notarized by a City of Sunrise Permit Service Specialist. Cannot be done remotely, even for electronic submittals.

8NOC threshold discrepancy — Alliance page and some older forms say $2,500 but current F.S. 713.13 (eff. 7/1/2024) sets threshold at $5,000. Newer 2025 checklists reflect $5,000. Use $5,000.
